1.
the Jaw 03:52
it was a day like any other day you left your home behind but why you didn't stay you only did you said goodbye with the Rockies at your feet and whispers of the currents long past their own defeat your head held high above you only sky transfixed by the horizon you forgot what home was like you flew across the badlands into its canines oh, the jaw, it had a hold on what you couldn't find you only could discover that love comes blind sure you fell upon your doorstep you must've lost your stride the wind had changed directions the moon had changed the tides she caught you in her movement where your orbits did collide and the universe exploded and love got lost in time lost and blind oh yes love's lost and it's blind. your vision isn't helping much maybe you're just out of touch
2.
the moon rises faster and glows a little longer the stars a little brighter the wind a little stronger in california she came in the night wearing nothing more a galaxy on her sleeve which saw me to the floor i woke from a dream into another one the moon had won against the sun and I felt love in the moment in the moment that had come i tried to walk the line between what was mine inside my mind but I couldn't run and I couldn't hide from the moonlight from the moonlight i came in the night and was oh so quiet she heard me leave but she didn't fight it you sang a lullaby without a rhyme I fell behind your sense of time before your eyes when you spoke it when you broke what you used to be mine when I fell back to sleep I came undone your lips were guns but mine were numb from talking bombs 'til I felt the sun 'til I felt the sun
3.
it's a strange thing so hear me sing gonna ride the heat gonna ride the heat I can see it in your eyes and it ain't no surprise any way the wind could walk vision's on the rise sit down for a minute or you're gonna get it don't know what's in it forget it for a second learned my lesson my mind be messin' you too true a blessin' and you're all I need to be truly gifted gears in mind shifted living every minute of an otherwise surrealism never hinted finish it or quick be finished only one who really hit it ain't my ... it's a strange taste and it'll last for days gonna ride the heat gonna ride the heat I can feel it in your bones and you know I'm at home don't you know I know you know there's nobody alone it's okay doesn't matter what you say gonna ride the heat gonna ride the heat I can see it in your eyes and it ain't no surprise any way the wind could walk vision's on the rise

about

This record is owed to the place l got to call home in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood as much as it is the people who brought me in. Not only is the house a relic in a culturally-suffocated city, but was where these songs were recorded.

The biggest thank you to #7 and it's longterm tenants, Mark Henning & Isabelle Dunlop, for having me along for the ride.
